Rivas Medical Weight Loss Tirzepatide Review: Office and Telehealth Costs

Rivas Medical Weight Loss publishes different prices for in-office and telehealth compounded tirzepatide. Its in-office options are $165 per week, $627 for four weeks or $1,782 for twelve weeks, with a $195 initial visit fee for new patients. The telehealth compounded tirzepatide program separately advertises $599 per month, including medication, a monthly video visit and shipping. Compare the care setting and supplied period before choosing a program.^3,4,5

In-office prices and the initial visit

The named compounded tirzepatide page describes weekly in-office visits that include the provider consultation, medication, injection, vitals and dose adjustment. Its four- and twelve-week packages include four and twelve weekly visits respectively. Those periods are not calendar months, even where the website calls them one- and three-month packages.⁴

The $195 new-patient initial visit is a separate charge on that page. The pricing page describes an initial visit as lifetime membership, but adds that patients must visit once a year to avoid paying it again. Ask how that condition applies if you pause care. Confirm the amount due today, package payment schedule and any additional testing or services before purchasing.^3,4

The Fidelity package-supply comparison shows why the next order’s supply also matters: its public program lists eight initial doses, seven step-up doses and four maintenance doses under the same package price. Compare the prescribed supply and included appointments over the same period, rather than treating every package as a month. Those dose counts do not determine Rivas’s treatment schedule, and a shared ingredient does not establish equivalent preparations or cancellation rights.⁹

Telehealth has a different price and visit schedule

The telehealth page lists a $599 monthly compounded tirzepatide program with a monthly video visit, shipping, dose adjustments and on-call support between visits. Its page and pricing tab advertise Maryland, Virginia and Florida, while the general FAQ says telehealth requires Maryland or Virginia. Physical clinics are identified in Maryland and Virginia. Confirm your treatment and physical location with the practice before paying; the public pages do not resolve the Florida discrepancy.^3,5,6

The telehealth page advertises a $195 initial visit including the first month of medication for compounded programs. Its FAQ specifically describes compounded tirzepatide as $599 per month after that initial visit. The clinician still determines whether tirzepatide is appropriate. Confirm the prescribed preparation, supplied quantity, amount due and charge retained if no treatment is prescribed before relying on the introductory offer.⁵

The separate brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound pathway lists $100 per month for the provider visit and prescription service, with medication filled and paid for separately. It is not a $100 medication-inclusive tirzepatide program. A prescription and insurance coverage are not guaranteed by the advertised visit rate.^3,5

Payment, cancellation and unused packages

The FAQ says the practice does not process insurance, can provide invoices for possible reimbursement and requires payment in full at the visit. That does not resolve how a selected package, financing arrangement or telehealth recurring payment is collected. Confirm the complete authorization and collection schedule for your choice.⁶

The program pages advertise no contract and cancellation at any time. Those statements do not establish a refund for unused prepaid weeks, retained consultation charges after medical nonapproval, or medication already prepared or shipped. Before paying, request the cancellation notice period and method, missed-visit fee, recurring-charge authorization, pharmacy-processing cutoff and unused-balance policy for the selected purchase.^3,4,5

The published Terms of Use govern the website and related applications. They say a doctor-patient relationship starts only after a personal consultation and agreement to proceed; website-access termination is also discussed. These website terms are not a complete treatment or package payment agreement, and website-access termination should not be treated as cancellation of treatment billing.⁷

Who operates the service and supplies medication?

The privacy statement identifies PAUL M. RIVAS, M.D., P.C., trading as Rivas Medical Weight Loss Program, and is dated November 15, 2023. Confirm the entity named in your clinical and payment agreements. This identification does not independently verify the assigned clinician’s credentials, and a P.C. should not be assumed to be the same legal entity as an LLC.⁸

The named compounded tirzepatide page describes U.S.-licensed 503A sourcing, while the general FAQ describes all compounded GLP-1s as sourced from 503B pharmacies; the pricing comparison also uses 503A/503B wording. These statements do not identify or independently verify the facility assigned to your prescription. Request the actual preparing or dispensing pharmacy, its classification and current authorization, formulation, supplied quantity and instructions. In-office administration and home shipment have different practical requirements.^3,4,5,6
