PlexusDx Tirzepatide Review: Monthly Prices, Prepayment and Refunds

PlexusDx’s named compounded tirzepatide injection and dissolving-tablet pages list $189 month to month, or $129 per month equivalent on a twelve-month plan costing $1,548 upfront. The separate microdose program is $99 monthly or $69 per month equivalent with $828 upfront for twelve months. A lower equivalent means a longer prepaid commitment, not a smaller monthly bill.^3,4,5

The public plans include provider care, prescribed compounded medication and shipping, with no separate membership fee. The important choices are medication, form, plan length and the amount committed before you know how treatment fits. This review concerns public information, without enrollment, purchase or personal treatment experience.

Match the plan to the complete payment

The named standard injection and oral products publish the same term-based prices. Microdose has its own lower-price schedule. Keep those programs separate; a microdose headline does not establish the price or clinical suitability of a standard tirzepatide prescription.^3,4,5

Three-, six- and twelve-month plans are charged once upfront and automatically renew for the same term. The Terms say an active patient’s renewal price will not increase without affirmative agreement; if an increase is declined, PlexusDx may retain the price or give at least 30 days’ notice of nonrenewal. Introductory discounts have separate conditions. Confirm the accepted authorization and next charge.⁶

The product describes one-month supplies for monthly plans and three-month boxes for longer plans; Terms allow dispensing cadence to vary with the prescription and pharmacy. Prepaying twelve months does not establish a twelve-month shipment. Obtain the actual quantity, concentration, ingredients, beyond-use date and shipment schedule.^3,5,6

Medication form and the limits of the evidence

PlexusDx markets standard tirzepatide as a weekly subcutaneous injection or a daily tablet that dissolves in the mouth. The microdose product offers lower-dose semaglutide or tirzepatide, also as a shot or tablet. Your clinician decides the prescription; these descriptions are not interchangeable doses or evidence of equivalent absorption, safety or effectiveness.^3,4,5

SURMOUNT-1 and SURMOUNT-5 studied injectable tirzepatide treatments, not PlexusDx’s service or compounded oral product.^1,2 The oral page’s nearby Zepbound trial result should not be read as a trial of its dissolving tablet. The $99 post-enrollment genetic test is optional. PlexusDx says it reports biological insights and does not determine medication selection; it is not a prerequisite for care. Its own retrospective microdose report is not a randomized trial and cannot establish that the treatment caused the reported changes. Neither genetic marketing nor provider outcomes verifies a particular preparation.^5,10

Who provides care and fills the prescription?

The Terms identify PlexusDx, Inc. as the technology and administrative company, Lone Star Virtual Health as the independent clinical provider and Bask Health as the telehealth platform. The consent names Lone Star Virtual Health, PLLC. The homepage lists Vials RX, identified as NI9 Health Group LLC in Tomball, Texas, among pharmacy partners. These are company disclosures, not independent credential verification or confirmation of your assigned pharmacy.^6,8,9

Current pages say the provider confirms availability in your state. Consent permits asynchronous care, phone or video, and additional testing or an in-person examination when needed. Messages are not continuously monitored. Ask who handles clinical concerns and follow-up; general support access is not a promised clinical response time.^8,9

Terms describe included clinical care, required synchronous consultations, medication, applicable injection supplies and shipping. Outside labs, specialist or emergency care, patient-caused replacements, extraordinary early fills and applicable taxes can add costs. The FAQ lists a separate optional anti-nausea medication. The service is self-pay and does not bill insurance; HSA/FSA eligibility and financing depend on the administrator or lender.^6,10

The FAQ also describes requesting a branded prescription for an outside pharmacy. That does not make branded medication part of the compounded bundle or establish its price. Ask about the actual care and pharmacy costs if choosing that route.¹⁰

Approval, payment and cancellation are different events

Payment timing differs across pages. Product pages and the FAQ say cards are charged once a prescription is sent to the pharmacy. Terms allow capture after clinical approval, before preparation or shipment. They say a declined or pending intake owes $0. Obtain the applicable authorization rather than assuming payment always waits for transmission.^3,6,10

The refund policy permits withdrawal before approval with $0 owed, and a full refund on request after approval if the prescription has not yet been sent. After transmission, changing your mind or canceling or pausing the plan generally does not create a refund. The policy nevertheless has specific exceptions.⁷

Cancel future renewal through Manage subscription in the portal before its charge processes; email or support requests should arrive at least three business days ahead. Cancellation preserves already-paid treatment but does not prorate the current prepaid term. A portal pause of 1–12 months freezes future billing, fulfillment, remaining treatment time and the renewal clock; resumption may require reassessment. Keep electronic confirmation.^6,7

Medical discontinuation by the independent provider qualifies unused, not-yet-dispensed prepaid months for refund at the equivalent actually paid. A treatment switch instead uses dollar credit; excess remains account credit. If remaining care cannot legally or operationally be supplied and no appropriate alternative is available or accepted, the policy describes refunding unused, not-yet-dispensed treatment.⁷

The policy also permits requesting a full refund if UPS has not taken possession within ten business days after pharmacy transmission, unless you affirmatively continue waiting. Delivery concerns should generally be reported within 24 hours of carrier-recorded delivery; replacement depends on the facts. Approved refunds are initiated within 3–5 business days, with bank time additional.⁷

Our assessment

PlexusDx now publishes useful term-specific payment amounts and named clinical and pharmacy relationships. The decision still depends on the chosen formulation, prepaid exposure, actual prescription and applicable refund event. Canceling renewal, withdrawing clinical consent and recovering a payment are separate actions.
