PreventiveMD Tirzepatide Review: Plan Prices, Refills & Refunds

PreventiveMD publishes compounded tirzepatide at $139 for a one-month supply, with provider review, medication, supplies, shipping and ongoing support included. The roughly $97-per-month headline belongs to a $1,168 twelve-month plan paid upfront, rather than a $97 monthly charge. Choose by the amount you must pay and the commitment you can accept.³

Its pricing FAQ says compounded doses cost the same within each plan, with no membership, consultation or cancellation fee. That does not make a prepaid term refundable whenever you stop: clinical review and pharmacy fulfillment create separate cancellation cutoffs.^3,4

What the prepaid prices mean

The three-month supply costs $334 total, advertised as about $111 per month; six months costs $626, about $104 per month. The published twelve-month total is $1,168, about $97 per month. Longer plans are paid upfront. Six- and twelve-month plans normally ship in three-month batches, so paying for a year does not mean receiving a year's medication immediately.^3,5

These are compounded-plan prices. The homepage separately lists $49 per month plus medication cost for Zepbound care. That is not a $49 all-in tirzepatide offer, and the compounded annual average should not be transferred to the branded route. Obtain the selected brand medication price separately.⁶

Care, pharmacy choice and eligibility

PreventiveMD's FAQ describes asynchronous clinician review, typically within 24–48 hours, with messaging for clarification. It says labs are not required to start. Review timing is an estimate, and a prescription depends on the clinician's individual assessment. The Terms distinguish the platform from the medical groups providing care and the pharmacies dispensing prescriptions.^5,7

The FAQ names Empower Pharmacy, Midwest Compounders Pharmacy, Drug Crafters and Boudreaux's New Drug Store, describing them as 503A partners selectable where licensed for your state. This is the company's sourcing disclosure, not an independent license check or confirmation of the pharmacy handling your prescription. Its disclosed tirzepatide additives vary: niacinamide, glycine, or glycine with vitamin B12. Ask which formulation will be supplied if you have sensitivities.⁵

The availability FAQ excludes Alaska, Arkansas, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota, West Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as territories and locations outside the United States. Individual pharmacy coverage adds further restrictions; a national-looking website does not establish eligibility everywhere.⁵

Initial approval and renewal charges differ

For an initial request, the Subscription Policy describes an authorization hold followed by payment capture only after provider approval. Nonapproval releases the hold; that is not a refund of a settled payment. Your bank determines when reserved funds become available again.⁴

For one- and three-month renewals, however, the FAQ says the card is charged on the renewal date before the refill request goes to the provider. A reminder and check-in form arrive five days beforehand. Do not assume the initial approval-before-charge sequence applies to every renewal. Confirm your next charge date and refill status in the subscription portal.⁵

Cancel early; distinguish renewal from refund

The Subscription Policy expressly controls billing conflicts with the Terms. It permits free cancellation of auto-renewal through the account or email before the next renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the current paid term's end; turning renewal off does not itself refund prepaid months.⁴

Its general refund rule requires cancellation before provider review and before pharmacy placement or shipment. Clinical services become nonrefundable when review begins; prescription cancellation also depends on transmission, pharmacy acceptance and fulfillment. The broader FAQ promise of a refund before pharmacy acceptance therefore should not be read as an unconditional refund after clinical work. The policy expressly rejects a blanket satisfaction guarantee.^4,5

For a charged renewal, the policy specifically offers a full refund if canceled before that cycle's order is placed with or shipped by the pharmacy. Exceptions for errors, damage or other verified circumstances are conditional. Email refund requests within 30 days; the policy allows up to ten business days for a decision, then another five to ten for an approved refund to appear.⁴

Judge the provider on price, oversight and disclosure; judge the molecule on its trials. Tirzepatide's are strong — roughly 15–21% of body weight over 72 weeks in SURMOUNT-1¹, and better than semaglutide head-to-head² — but they were run on the brand drug at FDA-approved doses.
